What is ISO?

The ISO is a non-government, independent organisation that sets international standards for technology and manufacturing. By achieving and maintaining these standards, these certifications confirm that we comply with their quality regulations. The ISO 9001:2015 certification is regarding quality management, whilst the ISO 14001:2015 is concerning environmental standards.

In order to obtain the ISO certifications, we had to choose the right standards to benefit our business. Before any assessments occur, a certification body has to be chosen, which need to be UKAS accredited. The first audit is an assessment of current business practices and any recommendations. Before the second audit, a management system will need to be put in place. During the final audit, you will be assessed to see if you have met their standards.

By obtaining an ISO certification, it is a great way to check that you are constantly finding ways to become more efficient in your business. Here at 1st Homes, we will be audited annually to ensure that we are still meeting their standards. We aim to continually find ways to become more energy-efficient and to provide high-quality products to our customers.

Consistent Assessments
By achieving the ISO certifications, regular assessments will help us and other companies maintain a quality service level.
Prepare For The Future
There are many rapid changes when it comes to manufacturing and the environment; this certification helps us prepare for this.
Improve Practices
The first audit allows us to find places in our business that we can improve on to help us to become more efficient and sustainable.
ISO-Registered
Globally Recognised
The ISO certifications are globally recognised standards. This allows us to provide products that meet their latest regulations.
Better Outcomes
By improving how we carry out our business, we can provide a better experience for both employees and our customers.

By choosing us for your next home improvements project, you can rely on a company that has an efficient system in place. By achieving this accreditation, you can benefit from sustainable installations that still boast unrivalled performance.

ISO 9001:2015 Certification

The ISO 9001:2015 certification sets standards for a quality management system in an organisation. In order to obtain this certificate, a company must show that they can provide products that meet customers needs and enhance customer satisfaction through the application of the product. This standard is reviewed every five years.

The standards set out in this certification are generalised and can be applied to any business. By applying for this certification, we believed that it would be a great way to improve how we carry out our business to improve the experience for our staff and our customers. We want to ensure that everything we do is done to the highest quality.

ISO 14001:2015 Certification

As a company that prides itself on looking after the environment, we wanted to obtain this certification. It sets requirements for an effective environmental management system to help companies to reduce their impact on the environment. This standard is reviewed every five years to keep up with any latest updates.

In order to obtain this certification, companies much manage their responsibilities to achieve the following outcomes; improvement of environmental performance, fulfilment of compliance obligations and attainment of environmental objectives. We ensure that we use features such as triple glazing and sustainable materials to promote an eco-friendly product.
